Call for Abstracts: Drought Sessions at 107th AMS Annual Meeting
The American Meteorological Society (AMS) is inviting abstract submissions for its 107th annual meeting, scheduled for January 10–14, 2027, in Denver, Colorado. The meeting will focus on the theme 'PEOPLE: People Educated On Planet Live Empowered.' NOAA’s National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) is collaborating with AMS to host several drought-related sessions. These sessions will cover advancements in drought prediction, monitoring, and communication, as well as the integration of data and community knowledge to improve drought resilience. Abstract submissions are open until August 11, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET, with no extensions expected. Accepted authors will have the opportunity to present their work through oral or poster presentations, with recorded sessions available to attendees for three months before being made public.
