DHL Expands Automation in Vietnam to Enhance Logistics Operations
DHL Supply Chain is increasing its investment in Vietnam, focusing on automation and infrastructure to support the country's role as a hub for global retail and technology manufacturing. With rising labor costs and supply chain demands, DHL is expanding in northern Vietnam, where high-tech investment is concentrated. The company plans to build an 80,000 square meter facility to better serve technology customers. Automation is being scaled up to improve efficiency and supply chain resilience, with 'light touch automations' and robotics being introduced. Bertrand Juvigny, Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain in Vietnam, emphasizes the strategic importance of logistics as a competitive advantage rather than just a cost center.
