Southeast Faces a Weekend of Storms and Flash Floods
A days-long threat of thunderstorms and flash flooding will continue across the Southeast through the weekend as a cold front pushes into the region. North and South Carolina face an elevated flood risk Friday, with damaging winds possible in some storms. The threat spreads across parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia through Sunday. By Monday, most of the Southeast could have received 1 to 3 inches of rain, potentially disrupting outdoor plans.
