Wildfire Near Washington Terrace, Utah, Prompts Evacuations
A wildfire broke out near Washington Terrace, Utah, on Monday, quickly spreading to 45 acres and threatening nearby homes. The fire was first reported around noon near the 100 block of W 5700 S. Local officials issued evacuation orders for residents on Adams Avenue between 5600 South and 5700 South to 300 West. A temporary shelter was established at the Washington Terrace Senior Center in Ogden. By late afternoon, evacuation orders were lifted for most areas, though some residents south of 5700 South were advised to remain away from their homes.
