Beond Airlines Suspends Flights Amid Financial Challenges, Plans October Return
Beond Airlines, a premium leisure airline headquartered in Dubai, has announced the suspension of all its flights between the Maldives and Europe for the summer season. The airline, which began operations in 2023, is known for its all-business class service and currently operates a fleet of two aircraft. The suspension is attributed to the high cost of jet fuel and the logistical challenges of refueling in the Middle East, which have made it difficult to operate profitably. The airline plans to resume operations in October for the winter season. Customers with existing bookings are being offered flexible rebooking options, including fee-free changes to winter flights, future travel within 12 months, or full refunds. However, the airline has removed its customer promise webpage, which previously guaranteed rebooking on another airline in business class if a flight was canceled.
