Sioux Falls Parks Install Art-Adorned Basketball Backboards in Community Collaboration
New basketball backboards, featuring artwork developed with input from hundreds of students, are being installed at various parks across Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This initiative, known as 'Full Court Color: Arena to Asphalt,' is a collaborative effort between the City of Sioux Falls, The Summit League, and local artist Les Cotton. The project aims to integrate community-created art into public recreational spaces, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the parks while celebrating local talent. The installation of these unique backboards is part of a broader effort to foster community engagement and provide vibrant, inspiring environments for residents. The artwork reflects the creativity of Sioux Falls students, making the parks more personalized and reflective of the community's spirit.
