Immunomic Therapeutics Begins Phase 1 Trial for Cancer Vaccine ITI-5000 Targeting Triple-Negative Breast Cancer
Immunomic Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology company based in Rockville, Maryland, has announced the commencement of a Phase 1 clinical trial for its cancer vaccine candidate, ITI-5000. This investigational vaccine is designed to treat triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and is being tested in a multicenter, open-label, first-in-human study. The trial aims to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary immunologic activity of ITI-5000 in patients with Stage II–III TNBC, both as a monotherapy and in combination with standard adjuvant therapy. The first participant has been dosed, and no significant adverse events have been reported. ITI-5000 utilizes Immunomic's proprietary UNITE® platform and next-generation self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) technology to generate a targeted T cell immune response against tumor-associated antigens.
