Congo's Offshore Fields See Production Growth Through Redevelopment
In the Republic of Congo, mature offshore fields are experiencing increased production due to redevelopment efforts by independent operators. Ammat Global Resources has enhanced production capacity at the Loango and Zatchi fields through infrastructure upgrades and reservoir management initiatives. These efforts have increased production from approximately 4,000 to 7,000 barrels of oil per day. The strategy focuses on optimizing existing infrastructure rather than new exploration, aiming to improve operational efficiency and reduce natural decline rates. The Republic of Congo is leveraging these developments to support government revenues and maintain its status as a regional oil producer.
