Fiji Achieves Record June Visitor Arrivals Amid Tourism Expansion
Fiji has recorded its highest-ever visitor arrivals for June, with 98,522 tourists, marking a significant increase from previous years. The surge is attributed to new resorts, improved connectivity, and expanded eco-tourism offerings. Australia remains the largest source market, followed by New Zealand and the United States. The tourism sector is diversifying with new agritourism experiences and upgraded accommodations, such as the Fiji Gateway Hotel and Plantation Island Resort. Fiji Airways has also expanded its flight routes, enhancing accessibility to the islands. These developments are part of a broader strategy to position Fiji as a leading destination for wellness, culture, and adventure tourism.
