Chinese Tech Giants Accelerate Development of Personal AI Agents
Chinese technology companies are intensifying their efforts to develop personal artificial intelligence (AI) agents, signaling a shift in China's AI industry towards practical applications and commercial deployment. Ant Group, for instance, has begun small-scale internal testing of a new version of its AI product, LingGuang, designed to compete with personal AI agents from U.S. tech giants. This upgraded LingGuang 2.0 aims to transform from an AI assistant into an AI-native personal agent with long-term memory and the ability to proactively execute tasks, such as tracking market fluctuations or managing travel itineraries.
