Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, will not be attending the Colonel's Review, a ceremonial event held one week before the annual Trooping the Colour parade. This decision comes as she continues her recovery from cancer, which she publicly announced in March. The palace has not disclosed the specific type of cancer or details of her treatment. In her absence, a military general will assume the role of Inspecting Officer for the event scheduled on June 8 in London. The palace has also not confirmed whether she will attend the Trooping the Colour on June 15. Kate's last public appearance was in December at a Christmas service with her family. Prince William, her husband, recently assured a fan that the family is doing well.
