Orange County Judicial Nominating Commission Seeks Candidates for Court Vacancies
Governor Ron DeSantis has tasked the Ninth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission with providing nominees for two vacancies in the Orange County Court. These vacancies arose following the elevations of Judge Andrew Bain and Judge Mark Skipper. Interested candidates must submit their applications to the commission's chair, Michael Adam Sasso, by May 12. The application process requires candidates to meet specific qualifications, including being a member of The Florida Bar for at least five years, being a registered voter in Florida, and residing in Orange County at the time of appointment. Applications must be submitted in a specific PDF format, with a second redacted version to protect personal information. Interviews for the vacancies are tentatively scheduled for May 29, with the final schedule to be posted on the governor's website.
