Thermos Recalls Over 8 Million Food Jars and Bottles Due to Injury Risk
Thermos has issued a recall for over 8 million food jars and bottles after reports of injuries, including permanent vision loss, caused by the products. The recall affects the Thermos Stainless King 3000 and 3020 Food Jars and the Thermos Sportsman 3010 Food & Beverage Bottles, sold between March 2008 and July 2024. The issue arises from the lack of a pressure relief mechanism in the stoppers, which can cause them to eject forcefully when opened, posing impact and laceration hazards. Consumers are advised to contact Thermos for a free replacement stopper or bottle.
