Latino Community Foundation Surpasses $50 Million in Grantmaking, Launches National Fund
The Latino Community Foundation (LCF) has announced that its total grantmaking since 2018 has exceeded $50 million. This milestone is part of LCF's mission to empower Latino communities across the United States. In the first quarter of 2026, LCF awarded over $3 million to organizations serving Latino communities and launched its first national fund, the Community Protection Fund. This fund aims to support grassroots organizations responding to immigration enforcement actions and community safety efforts. LCF's investments also focus on voter mobilization, research on immigration's economic impact, and recovery efforts for communities affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. LCF CEO Julián Castro emphasized the importance of investing in grassroots leadership to ensure Latino communities have the resources to thrive.
