Make-A-Wish Benefit Tour Raises Funds and Grants Wish in South Burlington
The Wish Benefit Tour recently made a stop in South Burlington, Vermont, for a sold-out night of music and fundraising. This event, held at Higher Ground, brought together Make-A-Wish families and jam band enthusiasts. The tour, which spans four nights and includes venues in New York and Massachusetts, is a collaborative effort to support children facing critical illnesses. During the South Burlington show, 15-year-old Juniper from Burlington, who is battling leukemia, received the news that her wish to take a musical tour of New York City had been approved. Her father, Greg, expressed that this news provides something positive to anticipate amidst ongoing medical treatments. The concert featured performances by Oteil Burbridge, a founding member of Dead & Company, and the Vermont-based groove trio LaMP. This tour marks a new initiative for Make-A-Wish Vermont and Northeast New York, aiming to use music to provide hope, strength, and joy to children and their families.
