Firefighters Halt Diablo Fire's Progress, Evacuations Lifted in Pleasant Valley
The Diablo Fire, which erupted southeast of Pleasant Valley, Nevada, has been contained after burning approximately 65 acres. The fire, which started on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land, prompted evacuation warnings for nearby areas, including Geiger Grade and Toll roads. Multiple fire agencies, including Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue, Reno Fire, and Carson City Fire, collaborated to combat the blaze. Air resources were deployed to assist in controlling the fire, which was fueled by grass and sage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and all evacuation warnings have now been lifted.
