International Cooperative Alliance Focuses on Leadership and Youth in Strategic Plan
The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) recently conducted an online members' chat to discuss the People Pillar of its Strategic Plan 2026-30. The session, led by ICA Communications Officer Paco Núñez, emphasized strengthening leadership, supporting women and young people, building new skills, sharing knowledge, and preserving cooperative heritage. ICA Africa is implementing the Africa Cooperative Entrepreneurship (ACE) program, selecting 15 youth from across the continent for a boot camp in Lusaka, Zambia. The Mapping International Cooperative Development Programs (MICDP) initiative was also highlighted, featuring 450 programs in around 80 countries. Additionally, the Cooperative Cultural Heritage Program (CCH) aims to identify key sites for the cooperative movement worldwide.
