Northrop Grumman's Jackal Missile Completes Key Flight Test, Advancing Weapon Development
Northrop Grumman has successfully completed a key flight test of its Jackal precision strike missile, marking a significant step forward in the development of this next-generation weapon system. The test validated the readiness of Jackal's flight systems, including airframe, propulsion, navigation, and autopilot components. The missile demonstrated its automated turbojet engine start, autopilot-controlled flight, and high-speed maneuvering capabilities. Designed for contested environments, the Jackal missile can operate in GPS-denied conditions and uses AI-driven algorithms for autonomous threat identification and attack.
