Assemblymember González Celebrates Completion of Koreatown's First ED1 Affordable Housing Project
Assemblymember Mark González participated in the grand opening of Koreatown's first completed Executive Directive 1 (ED1) affordable housing project. Located at 611 S Hobart Blvd, the seven-story building offers 80 studio and one-bedroom apartments, all of which are income-restricted to ensure affordability. This development is part of a broader initiative led by Mayor Bass, who issued Executive Directive 1 in December 2022 to accelerate the construction of 100% affordable housing units. The project underscores a commitment to providing affordable housing in city centers, particularly in multicultural and multilingual neighborhoods like Koreatown.
