Iranian Volunteer in Israel: Mehran Rezvani's Journey from Iran to Humanitarian Work
Mehran Rezvani, an Iranian-born volunteer, is currently working at the Eitanim Mental Health Center outside Jerusalem. Rezvani, who defected from Iran in 1986 during the Asian Games in Seoul, has since settled in Norway. He is part of a group of eight Norwegian volunteers representing Nachamu Nachamu Ami, a Dutch organization that provides humanitarian assistance to Jewish communities. Rezvani's views on Israel and the Jewish people shifted dramatically after he began reading the Bible in 1995, leading him to become a Pentecostal Christian. Despite the ongoing conflict in the region, Rezvani is committed to his volunteer work, expressing admiration for the Israeli people and culture.
