The forecast suggests an active storm track in the South, frequent snow and cold in the North, and a mix of rain, sleet, ice, and heavy snow in the Northeast. The Almanac, which has been providing weather predictions for over 200 years, aligns its forecast with other meteorological predictions, including those from NOAA, influenced by the El Niño phenomenon. The southern United States is expected to experience wetter-than-normal conditions, while the southern Rockies may see frequent snow opportunities. The Pacific Northwest, however, may face a more variable and less dependable snow season.
