Lauren Howley: Breaking Barriers as a Female Contractor, Architect, and Designer
Lauren Howley, a contractor, architect, and designer, has carved a niche for herself in the construction industry, traditionally dominated by men. Growing up in a historic house in Los Angeles, Howley was inspired by her family's frequent remodeling projects. She pursued studies in interior design and architecture, eventually finding her passion in construction. Howley founded Howley Design Build, where she combines her design background with construction management. She emphasizes the importance of understanding every aspect of construction, from framing to project management, to ensure quality and teamwork. Howley is part of a growing community of female contractors who support each other and share knowledge, challenging the gender norms in the industry.
