Montgomery City Council Approves New Ordinance to Regulate Short-Term Rentals Amid Resident Complaints
The Montgomery City Council has officially passed a new ordinance aimed at regulating short-term rental properties, including popular platforms like Airbnb and VRBO. This decision comes in response to a growing number of complaints from residents regarding issues such as excessive noise from parties and general disruptions in residential neighborhoods. Councilman Andrew Szymanski highlighted concerns about parking, the number of occupants in rental dwellings, and the proliferation of short-term rentals in certain areas.
