Severe Storms and Tornadoes Impact Texas and Surrounding States
A series of severe storms continues to affect the southern United States, marking the sixth consecutive day of intense weather conditions. On Tuesday evening, a tornado struck Mineral Wells, Texas, causing injuries and structural damage in northeastern Palo Pinto County. The storm system has brought hail as large as grapefruits, tornadoes, and damaging winds across the region. The National Weather Service has issued a Level 4 of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms in northeast Texas, including the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, with a slightly lower risk extending to parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Emergency services are actively responding to the damage, and residents are advised to remain indoors as recovery efforts are underway.
