Mesa Boy Commended for Calmness During Bank Robbery
A 9-year-old boy named Hunter is being praised by Mesa police for his calm demeanor during a bank robbery at a Bank of America branch in Mesa, Arizona. Hunter was at the bank with his grandmother, Colette Jordan, to open his first savings account when he noticed a woman entering with a ski mask and a black hoodie. Recognizing the danger, Hunter calmly informed his grandmother, allowing them to seek cover under a desk. The suspect, 41-year-old Leetasha Yazzie, was later apprehended by police and faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and robbery. The bank was placed on lockdown, but Hunter and his grandmother were able to complete the account opening process during the incident.
