Cochlear Completes Recruitment for Fully Implantable Hearing Technology Trials, Exceeding One Million Hours of Patient Experience
Cochlear has announced the completion of recruitment for its worldwide pivotal trial program evaluating fully implantable hearing technology. Patients participating in Cochlear’s fully implantable hearing system research programs have collectively accumulated over one million hours of experience with their devices. This extensive research program, which includes the ELEVATE study across 11 sites in the U.S. and the ENTERPRISE study across five sites in Europe and Australia, has enrolled more than 100 patients since initial feasibility studies began in 2005. The program aims to build a deeper understanding of the features, performance, and outcomes that are most important to recipients, clinicians, and health systems.
