Queensland Tourism Industry Council Announces 2026 Top Tourism Town and Guide Finalists
The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) has revealed the finalists for the 2026 Queensland Top Tourism Town and Top Tour Guide awards. The awards, sponsored by Airbnb, aim to honor the destinations, communities, and tourism ambassadors that contribute to making Queensland a premier visitor destination in Australia. Stanthorpe has been awarded the title of 2026 Queensland Top Tourism Town. The awards recognize a variety of locations, from coastal towns to outback communities, and highlight the efforts of local tour guides in providing exceptional visitor experiences. Public voting is open from May 11 to May 24, 2026, allowing Queenslanders to support their favorite small and tiny towns. The winners will be announced next month, with the winning towns receiving promotional opportunities and the chance to represent Queensland at the national Top Tourism Town Awards.
