United Airlines Flight Diverts to Pittsburgh Over Security Threat
A United Airlines flight from Chicago to New York City was diverted to Pittsburgh International Airport due to a 'possible security issue.' The incident occurred on Saturday when the crew of United Flight 2092 reported a potential threat, prompting the diversion. The flight, a Boeing 737, had 159 passengers and six crew members on board. Upon landing at Pittsburgh, passengers evacuated the aircraft using emergency slides. The Allegheny County Airport Authority, along with the FBI and local law enforcement, conducted a thorough screening of the plane, which yielded negative results for any threats. The airport remained operational throughout the incident, and no injuries were reported.
