Great Falls Faces Record-Breaking Heat Wave, Heightening Wildfire Risks
Great Falls is experiencing a significant heat wave with temperatures expected to reach a record-breaking 104°F, surpassing the previous record of 101°F. This heat wave, characterized by a heat dome, is exacerbating wildfire risks across the Western U.S. The National Weather Service has issued warnings as temperatures in other areas, such as Las Vegas and Phoenix, are also expected to reach extreme highs. The heat wave is expected to be short-lived, with temperatures in Montana expected to drop into the 70s by Sunday.
