Film Partnership of North Carolina Faces Funding Uncertainty from Wilmington Council

The Film Partnership has been instrumental in placing interns on major productions, such as the Netflix series 'The Hunting Wives,' and relies heavily on payroll reimbursements for its funding. The organization has previously received significant support from New Hanover County and the state, but recent state budget allocations did not include funding for the partnership. The council is considering various funding options, including contingency funds, but some members are hesitant to use these resources for non-emergency needs.
