Wyoming Office of Tourism Honors Five as 'Mavericks of Wyoming'
The Wyoming Office of Tourism has launched its inaugural 'Mavericks of Wyoming' initiative, recognizing five individuals for their leadership and contributions to the state's culture and community. This initiative, in partnership with Wrangler, aims to celebrate Wyomingites who embody the state's spirit through their authenticity and leadership. The honorees include Ian Munsick, a Sheridan-based musician and founder of West to the Rest Records; Richard Burke, a Douglas-based painter and sculptor known for his western-themed art; Heather Morgan Shoemaker, founder and CEO of Language I/O; Jason Blades, a leader on the Wind River Indian Reservation and founder of the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative; and Bryce Albright, executive director of the Dude Ranchers’ Association. Each honoree received a limited-edition custom jacket from Wrangler. Additionally, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon was named an 'Honorary Maverick' for his contributions to the state.
