Flooding and Tornado Warning Disrupt Gen Con in Indianapolis
Severe weather impacted the Gen Con gaming convention at the Indiana Convention Center on August 1, 2026. Attendees were evacuated to safer locations, such as tunnels connecting the convention center to Lucas Oil Stadium, following a tornado warning issued for Indianapolis. Flood warnings remain in effect across central Indiana until August 2, with additional storms expected to persist through August 7. The extent of damage to the venue and exhibits remains unclear, but organizers are optimistic about resuming the event as scheduled.
