Lunar Outpost Partners with NASA for Historic Lunar Mission with Pegasus Rover
Lunar Outpost, a Colorado-based space company, is advancing lunar exploration with its new Pegasus rover. The company has secured $30 million in funding to develop this agile rover, which is designed for versatile exploration and construction on the moon. The Pegasus rover is set to be delivered by 2027, aligning with NASA's Artemis 4 mission. This mission will mark the first time a robotic system, specifically Lunar Outpost's Mobile Autonomous Prospecting Platform (MAPP) rover, will work alongside an astronaut on the lunar surface. This collaboration aims to enhance the study of lunar regolith and support infrastructure development, paving the way for long-term lunar settlements.
