Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Australian Tour Could Serve as Blueprint for U.K. Return
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are preparing for an unofficial visit to Australia, which could potentially pave the way for their return to the U.K. The couple's security plan for the tour is seen as a possible model for future travels to Prince Harry's homeland. This marks their first visit since their successful royal tour in 2018. Meghan is scheduled to speak at a women's event in Sydney, while Harry will deliver a keynote address at a mental health conference in Melbourne. Despite their goodwill visit, a petition with 11,000 signatures has been submitted, requesting that Australian taxpayers not fund their security. The couple, who stepped down from royal duties in 2020, now operate private commercial ventures from the U.S. Additional protection measures will be implemented by New South Wales Police and Victoria Police at the taxpayers' expense to ensure public safety.
