Nelnet Government Services Expands Digital Accessibility Offerings to State and Local Agencies via Civic Marketplace
Nelnet Government Services has announced that its digital accessibility assessment, remediation, and compliance services are now available to state and local agencies through Civic Marketplace. This expansion leverages a cooperative purchasing contract awarded through the Alliance for Innovation (AFI), which means public agencies can procure Nelnet's services without needing to issue a new Request for Proposal (RFP). The services offered include expert-led audits of websites, applications, and documents to identify Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 barriers, hands-on remediation to ensure digital content is accessible for users of assistive technology, and ongoing support such as Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) and Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) reporting, staff training, and Accessibility Team as a Service (ATaaS).
