Sweden Unveils National Quantum Strategy to Boost Commercialization and Defense Through 2036
The Swedish Ministry of Education and Research has officially published Sweden’s National Quantum Strategy, a comprehensive policy, infrastructure, and commercial roadmap extending to 2036. This strategy aims to transform Sweden's academic research into commercially viable deep-tech enterprises, ensure sovereign communications, and align national efforts with broader European and Nordic defense initiatives. Key components include bridging the gap between academic excellence and commercial deployment by expanding physical testbeds and cleanroom access, leveraging national materials research facilities like MAX IV and the European Spallation Source.
