Firefighters Battle Major Blaze at Dublin Scrapyard, No Impact on Airport Operations
A significant fire broke out at a car scrapyard in north county Dublin, prompting a large-scale response from the fire brigade. The alarm was raised in the afternoon, and eight units, including fire engines, a foam tender, and water tankers, were deployed to the scene. The fire, located near Ballyboughal in Fingal, required the assistance of the Dublin Airport Fire and Rescue Service, although airport operations were not affected. Residents in the area were advised to close windows and doors due to smoke.
