X to Shut Down Communities Feature Due to Low Usage and Spam
X, formerly known as Twitter, has announced the shutdown of its Communities feature, citing low user engagement and high levels of spam as the primary reasons. Launched in 2021, Communities were intended to provide users with spaces to connect over shared interests. However, the feature was used by less than 0.4% of users and accounted for 80% of spam reports. X plans to focus on enhancing its XChat app and other features, as it continues to refine its platform offerings.
