Valve's European Shipping Partner Breach Exposes Customer Data
Valve has reported a data breach involving its European shipping partner, CEVA Logistics, which may have exposed personal information of customers who ordered Steam hardware. The breach occurred between July 29th and August 1st, affecting customer names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. Valve has warned customers to be cautious of potential phishing attempts, as fraudsters may use the leaked information to impersonate Steam or delivery companies. Valve assured that no payment information or account credentials were compromised, as CEVA does not have access to such data.
