Lowe's Foundation Launches Coalition to Train One Million Skilled Trades Workers in US by 2035
The Lowe’s Foundation has initiated the Building Futures Skilled Trades Coalition, a collaborative effort involving over 75 businesses, educators, and workforce organizations. This coalition aims to train and develop one million individuals for skilled trades careers across the United States by 2035. Founding participants include major companies such as NVIDIA, AT&T, Bank of America, Carrier, General Motors, DEWALT, and Duke Energy, alongside industry bodies like the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The initiative seeks to address a significant skilled labor shortage in the U.S. construction sector and other trades.
