Qatari-donated Air Force One Receives New Paint Job Amidst Delays
The Qatari Boeing 747-8i aircraft, gifted to the United States to serve as an interim Air Force One, has been repainted in red, white, and blue. This aircraft, referred to as the VC-25B Bridge, is undergoing final government modifications. The gift from Qatar was made in May 2025 after President Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Boeing's delays in delivering two new VC-25B aircraft. Originally, the replacement of the current Air Force One was scheduled for 2024, but it is now expected in 2028. The Air Force has completed flight testing and plans a summer delivery to the Presidential Airlift Group, though the exact date for the president to begin using the aircraft remains unspecified.
