ECU Health and UnitedHealthcare Finalize Multi-Year Agreement for Patient Access
ECU Health and UnitedHealthcare have reached a new multi-year agreement, restoring in-network access for over 100,000 patients in eastern North Carolina. Effective August 7, 2026, the contract covers patients with Commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid plans, ensuring full access to ECU Health's providers and services. The agreement addresses previous issues with reimbursement rates and administrative burdens, aiming to improve patient care and maintain provider-patient relationships. This development is crucial for ECU Health, which has faced rising costs without corresponding increases in reimbursements.
