Lancaster County Initiatives Aim to Boost Youth Voter Registration
A national report has highlighted a significant gap in youth voter registration in Pennsylvania, with only 22% of 18-year-olds registered to vote. In response, Lancaster County is implementing initiatives to increase youth engagement in the electoral process. Local organizations, such as the Lancaster County League of Women Voters and F&M Votes at Franklin & Marshall College, are actively working to register young voters by setting up registration tables in schools and engaging students directly. These efforts are part of a broader push to improve civic participation among young residents.
