U.S. Postal Service to Close for Presidents Day, Resuming Services on February 17
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced that all Post Office locations will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents Day. Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume the following day, Tuesday, February 17. Despite the closure, customers can still access a variety of postal products and services through the USPS website and self-service kiosks available in select lobbies nationwide. These kiosks offer services such as postage printing for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, and international shipping, as well as the purchase of stamps, package weighing and mailing, and package tracking information. As part of its modernization efforts, USPS is expanding self-service options, including Rapid Dropoff Stations and USPS Smart Lockers, which allow for package drop-off and pick-up. Many of these kiosks are available 24/7, providing flexibility and convenience to customers even when Post Offices are closed.
