Former French Culture Minister Resigns Amid Epstein-Linked Tax Fraud Probe
Jack Lang, France's former Culture Minister, has resigned from his position as head of a Paris cultural center due to a tax investigation linked to financial ties with Jeffrey Epstein. Lang, who served under President François Mitterrand, stepped down following the release of Epstein files by the U.S. Department of Justice. These files revealed Lang's name over 600 times, indicating correspondence with Epstein between 2012 and 2019. The French financial prosecutors' office has opened an investigation into Lang and his daughter, Caroline, for alleged aggravated tax fraud laundering. Lang's resignation was confirmed by the French Foreign Ministry, which oversees the Arab World Institute, where Lang held his position since 2013.
