Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute Launches Architectural Carpentry Program with ACCSC Approval
The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute (SBWI) in Adrian Township, Michigan, has announced the launch of its new Architectural Carpentry & Preservation program, which has received approval from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). This program is set to begin in the fall of 2027 and aims to address the growing demand for skilled craftspeople in the field of historic preservation. The curriculum will cover a range of skills, including woodworking, new construction, and advanced preservation practices. Students will gain hands-on experience working with historic architectural elements such as doors, windows, and cabinetry. The program will be housed at SBWI's new $16.5 million campus, providing state-of-the-art facilities for immersive instruction.
