Singapore Airlines to Introduce Free Starlink Wi-Fi, Limited Rollout Planned
Singapore Airlines has announced a partnership with SpaceX to introduce Starlink Wi-Fi on select aircraft, starting in early 2027. The service will be free for all first and business class passengers, as well as KrisFlyer members in premium economy and economy. Starlink is known for its high-speed, low-latency broadband internet, which allows for activities such as live streaming and gaming. However, the rollout will be limited to the Airbus A350-900 long haul and ultra long haul fleet, and Airbus A380 aircraft, covering only about one-third of Singapore Airlines' fleet. The installation is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
