The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) continues to recommend strict screen time limits for young children, advising no screen time for those younger than 2 years old and a maximum of one hour per day for children aged 2 to 5. This guidance comes as studies indicate that older children, particularly teens, are spending significant amounts of time on screens, with teens averaging 8 hours and 39 minutes of entertainment screen time daily. Adults also average 6 hours and 38 minutes online.
