Ukraine Warns Israel of Diplomatic Crisis Over Stolen Grain Ship Near Haifa
Ukraine has summoned the Israeli Ambassador, Michael Brodsky, to address concerns over a ship allegedly carrying stolen Ukrainian grain near Haifa Port. The Panama-flagged vessel, Panormitis, is reportedly carrying grain taken from Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories. Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized the importance of Ukrainian-Israeli relations and warned of diplomatic repercussions if Israel allows the ship to dock and unload its cargo. This incident follows a similar situation earlier in April when another vessel, the Russian bulk carrier Abinsk, docked in Haifa with stolen Ukrainian wheat. Ukraine plans to deliver a protest note to Israel, urging appropriate action to prevent further harm to bilateral relations.
