Frontier Airlines Plane Strikes and Kills Trespasser at Denver Airport
A Frontier Airlines Airbus A321, preparing for takeoff to Los Angeles, struck and killed a pedestrian who had jumped a security fence at Denver International Airport. The incident occurred late Friday night as the aircraft was accelerating down the runway. The pilots reported the collision to air traffic controllers and aborted the takeoff when smoke began filling the cabin. All 224 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated using emergency slides. Twelve individuals sustained minor injuries, with five requiring hospital treatment. The identity of the pedestrian, described as a trespasser, has not been released. Federal officials, including the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), have launched an investigation into the incident. Denver airport officials confirmed that the perimeter fence was intact and are working with local police on security measures.
